All I know now, is sometimes you need to step out of a thing to see clearly enough to fully step into it.
Months without designing, sewing or sketching clothing; no instagram, no twitter.
I realized that the things that I loved doing, were the things I was beginning to truly hate. This stemmed from the feeling of HAVING TO do them instead of desiring to do them. So taking a break in order to give myself the space and time to experience other things I enjoy has been a much needed breath of fresh air.
The break was needed, but it was a difficult decision.
I thought about my morning press, followers, what people would think, etc. but I knew that not stepping away would cause a deep loathing of the very things that once made me very happy - plus I needed to give the African aunties a break from all the kokonsa [iykyk]

I finally read the books that I got months prior that had been collecting dust on my shelves, learned to meditate and have been so consistent with journalling that I filled a whole book! I gained a new love for creating fun boards on Pinterest, got to travel and learned more about myself and my partner by spending more time off my phone to notice other things happening in the world around me - I highly recommend it.

Today, I felt like sketching again - so I did. It felt amazing.
Then I felt like writing a blogpost, so I did just that.
It doesn't feel forced, no self-pressure, etc.
All I know now, is sometimes you need to step out of a thing to see clearly enough to fully step into it.
