No one collection looked like the other, which to me, signals the resurgence of creativity!
Spring/Summer Fashion weeks have come to an end and I have to say this season has been by far the most individualistic in thought and creativity in such a long time! I loved it! No one collection looked like the other, which to me signals the resurgence of creativity! Quiet luxury is slowly dying out and that gives way to a more unique view and aesthetic across brands.
Below are 4 of my favorite trends from the SS27 fashion shows that I believe will do well come next Spring/Summer!
UNIQUE HATS
Summer '26 was all about the silk scarves, Summer '27 is going to be all about the hats, and I am so ready for it! Loro Piana, Bottega Veneta, Arthur Arbesser, Missoni, Thom Browne, Vaquera, to name a few, displayed a plethora of such intersting hats in their presentations; my favorite being Loro Piana. The more 'odd' the hat, the more fab the look!
BOLD COLORS
We are slowly but surely moving away from the quiet luxury of monotones and soft colors into the land of vibrant existence! Stella Jean, YSL, Rosie Assoulin, Tom Ford's bright reds, blues and greens brought me so much joy especially with so much uncertainty in the current state of the world at large.
MORE WHIMSY
The season of play is upon us. With the abundant display of feathers and frills, sheer fabrics and opulent laces, the whimsical girlies are invited to play and have more fun dressing up this coming spring/summer!
THE UNIQUE BASICS
From the button down to the simple vest, basics are seeing a fresh newness teetering on the edge of becoming statement pieces. We easily see this in the Jacquemus, Balenciaga, Brandon Maxwell, Dior, Vivienne Westwood, Tom Ford and Akris presentations. A touch of exaggeration that allows the piece to be its own
