MET GALA 2018

Updated: May 10, 2018

"WTH??!!! Y'all had MONTHS to prepare for this" were the exact words that came out of my mouth when celebrities began making their way down the red carpet for the MET GALA 2018 themed : 'Heavenly Bodies'

To me, the MET GALA is the one opportunity for designers from all over the world to truly come out with AMAZING designs with gross attention to detail under one theme! I expect costume and drama and a statement to be made! In past years there have been such dramatic apparel in which I could tell were made from passion and thought and a whole lot of work had gone into it. This year's Gala had a theme so dear to my heart that could be tackled from so many different angles; angelic to fallen angels, catholicism to protestants, compliant to rebel, so many different angles.

Honestly, the Met Gala is not the place to show items we've seen before...its the place to blow our damn minds...I mean a couple of looks took my breath away but I was quite disappointed in how very few the number of such looks were this time around with such an amazing theme. (Basically don't just show up in a yellow dress and think its okay...its not)

Below are my favorites from the Met Gala 2018, designers who I believe really took the theme and made something magical.
