I vividly remember the first time I wore a sequin outfit during the day. It was the year 2015 and I wore a gold ankle length sequin skirt that I paired with a black turtleneck top.
I wore it to church on the first Sunday of the month of July, and all July borns went up the stage to be prayed for before the benediction, (which is something my church at the time did) so I got to share my fab look with the entire congregation.
I loved my look that day...but after church my mum told me about a few people who told her that a sequin anything wasn't to be worn during the day.
Weeeelllllll, I pulled out receipts and gave a mini 'presentation' on wearing "a sequin anything" during the day on our way home - this was 4 years ago, and sequin outfits are still major day outfits today.

I personally think wearing sequins at any time of day adds a bit of fun and sparkle to your mood, and the people around you.
If you're not a big fan of the head to toe shimmer or want to slowly ease into it, I suggest you go ahead and pair a sequin top with a pair of your fav jeans or a sequin skirt/pair of shorts with your fav blouse! It's really that simple -just personalize it by rocking it with confidence, without a care in the world!
When it comes to colors, honestly, it's up to you, but this season is all about the subtle pastels (pinks, blues, oranges, etc), silver and black. You can't go wrong with any of these color options this summer!
